The ATALUP Approach

The Adoption First Model — Prove Learning Before You Build the Lab

Most schools approach CSR partners and alumni with a proposal. ATALUP enables your school to approach them with evidence. Before a single brick is laid, your students complete verified hands-on STEM and skill activities on the ATALUP platform. That data becomes your most credible fundraising asset.

The Composite Skill Lab Ready Report — authenticated by ATALUP — shows donors exactly what students have already done, which CSL sectors are active and what physical infrastructure is still needed. A donor reading this report is not funding a hope. They are completing a journey that has already begun.

  • 1
Activate the ATALUP Platform Students and teachers start hands-on STEM and skill activities from day one — no lab required.
  • 2
Build Verified Activity Data Every completed activity, video upload and learning hour is authenticated on the ATALUP dashboard.
  • 3
Generate the CSL Ready Report ATALUP produces a compliance-mapped report showing what is covered and what gap remains — ready for CSR and alumni.
  • 4
Raise Funds with Evidence Share the report with donors. Your ask is specific, verifiable and compliance-linked.
  • 5
Complete the Lab Setup Use raised funds to close the physical infrastructure gap and achieve full CBSE CSL compliance.

How ATALUP Makes It Happen

From platform activation to full CBSE compliance — ATALUP handles the structure so your school can focus on the learning.

01

Activate the Platform

Your school gets full access to 500+ structured activities mapped to CBSE CSL sectors — Electronics, AI, Coding, IT/ITeS and more. Students begin from day one, no physical lab needed.

02

Generate the Ready Report

After your school has built a record of verified activity, ATALUP produces the Composite Skill Lab Ready Report — a compliance-mapped, data-authenticated document for CSR companies and alumni.

03

Raise Funds, Build the Lab

Share the report with potential donors. The ask is specific, the data is real and the compliance requirement is legally mandated — making it one of the most compelling CSR asks a school can make.

What the Lab Must Cover

CSL Sectors — CBSE Requirements

CBSE requires minimum 3 sectors covering all 3 NCF-SE forms of work. ATALUP covers the STEM and technology sectors — the most complex and capital-intensive ones — through the platform.

The Adoption First Report

The Document That Turns Proof into Funding

The Composite Skill Lab Ready Report is not a proposal. It is a record — produced by the school and authenticated by ATALUP using verified platform data. Every number in it reflects real student activity that has already happened.

This is what separates an ATALUP-enabled school from every other school approaching CSR partners and alumni for lab funding. The learning has already begun. The report proves it.

  • 📊 Platform-authenticated data — every activity, hour and domain verified from the ATALUP dashboard. Not self-reported.
  • 📋 Compliance-mapped gap analysis — shows exactly what is active, what is in progress and what physical infrastructure is still needed.
  • 💼 CSR-ready format — references CBSE circular numbers and CBSE Guidelines Booklet so donors can independently verify the mandate.
  • 🏆 Specific, verifiable ask — itemised budget for only the remaining gap, aligned with CBSE's own ₹3–6 lakh estimate.
  • 🎓 Annual Kaushal Mela — donors are invited to the end-of-year student skills showcase, giving visible recognition for their contribution.

Frequently Asked Questions

It is mandatory. CBSE issued Circular No. Skill-75/2024 on 23 August 2024 and reinforced it with Circular No. Skill-13/2026 on 20 March 2026. Schools seeking new CBSE affiliation must have a CSL before affiliation is granted. Existing schools must comply by 22 August 2027. Non-compliance puts CBSE accreditation at risk.
No. CBSE has not allocated any funding for Composite Skill Labs. Every school is required to arrange funds independently. This is precisely why the ATALUP Adoption First Model exists — to help schools build a credible, data-backed case for CSR and alumni fundraising.
Partially. CBSE guidelines state that existing ATL labs can be leveraged for Electronics and Mechatronics sectors but cannot be converted into a CSL. Existing IT labs can be formally designated for IT/Coding skill subjects. Labs funded through government grants for a specific purpose cannot be converted. A separate CSL space of minimum 600 sq. ft. is still required.
The CSL Ready Report is a school-prepared, ATALUP-authenticated document that shows: student participation data verified from the platform, which CBSE CSL sectors are already active, a compliance gap analysis against CBSE requirements and an itemised budget for what still needs to be set up. It is designed to be shared directly with CSR companies and alumni as a fundraising document.
A school can generate its first CSL Ready Report after a minimum of one academic term of active engagement on the ATALUP platform. For schools starting now, this means a report can be ready for the next fundraising cycle — well within the August 2027 compliance deadline. Schools that start earlier build a stronger data record.
The full 64-page CBSE Composite Skill Lab Guidelines Booklet is available at cbseacademic.nic.in/web_material/skilledu/comp_skill_lab.pdf. The original circular (Skill-75/2024) and the reinforcing circular (Skill-13/2026) are both available on cbseacademic.nic.in under the Circulars section.
